Just Another
She's crying silken crimson tears
Staining porcelain cheeks
What once a forgotten child
Is now a broken doll
She used to fly on satin wings
Laughing with the birds
But she soon fell
On wings of broken stone
She used to swim with sequin fins
Singing with the whales and fish
But she soon drowned in her own blood
From shark pierced punctered lungs
She used to be so happy
Smiling at everyone
But she was soon forgotten
Just another broken girl.

Manip Tips and Tricks #1: Aegis-Strife
Name: Mario Sanchez aka Aegis-Illustration
Tools of the Trade: Adobe Photoshop CS2, Corel Painter IX, Apophysis 2.02, Terragen, Photomatrix Pro, Genius Tablet 8x6
Likes to use: Classic nude poses (specially from lockstock and justmeina ), still life objects, mixed media (photomanipulation + painting + 3D + vector)
Examples of his work:

Aegis-Illustration’s tips and tricks:
1.- Textures:
Many people have asked me how I use textures. It’s pretty simple. Instead of taking some texture images and merging them, what I do is putting one as a background. Then, I start taking the rest of textures I want to use, and low their opacity around 40-50% and sometimes using Soft Light. Then I start cloning them with dispersion options to make them look smooth. I erase zones I think that are rough and then I merge all texture layers and desatura

Manip Tips and Tricks #4: MelGama
Name: MelGama
Tools of the Trade: Photoshop CS2, Stock, brushes, VUE, PaintShop, AutoFX, Wacon tablet.
Likes to use: I love nude art and I love to make angels and fairies. We have a lot of special stock here in DA but some of them are more than special for me (and some are not stock) like gerhardt flaviacabral Elandria lockstock Teeslpscreations etc.
I like to make my own backgrounds. My husband is an amateur photographer and works with me. Therefore I love sxc.hu and brushes (some of them made by myself, others from DA like spiritsighs or from Renderosity).
Examples of her work:

MelGama’s tips and tricks:
1.- The model:
Most times I start with the model that inspires me. I look at the image and imagine something that can occur in that moment. It depends on my mood (if I’m happy or not) but I try to expre

Manip Tips and Tricks #3: YagaK
Name: YagaK
Tools of the Trade: Photoshop CS2, Adobe InDesign CS2, Canon A620, Nikon d70, Yashica Mat, Lifetec tablet, imagination:)
Likes to use: My own photos mixed with some stock photos, lots of different textures, filters and brushes made either by me or from stocks.
Examples of her work:

YagaK’s tips and tricks:
1.- Stock:
I spend a lot of time looking for photos with similar lightning, colours, atmosphere, so that when I join them together they will fit to each other.
2.- Desaturation:
I always slightly desaturate photos before I work with colour.
3.- Sharpening:
I almost always slightly sharpen pictures at the very beginning of work.
4.- Homemade Filters:
I make some filters out of textures just by blurring them, applying masks and changing the fill and opacity.
5.- Coloring:

Manip Tips and Tricks #2: Tsheva
Name: tsheva
Tools of the Trade: Photoshop CS2, Stock, brushes
Likes to use: Since I use a lot of stock, it is the most time consuming part of creating an image. Finding the right stock is hard. I use stock from DA but because some deviants put limitations on their stock, mostly I either buy stock from dreamstime or istock</b>. But my trusty standby is sxc.
Laying texture is the best part so finding and using the right stock is necessary. I also use brushes from deviants, so thank you for supply such great brushes.
Examples of her work:

tsheva’s tips and tricks:
1.- Imagery:
Figure out what image I want to create. What am I trying to say? I usually am trying to say something in symbols whenever I create an im

A Struggle Of The Heart,
To Love And Hurt...Or Not, And Bleed,
To Isolate Is To Scar, To Love Again, Is To Be Wounded Once Again,
Love Is A Comfort...An Eternal Bond Of Trust.
Betrayal Is A Jagged Knife...Ready To Split Your Heart In Two.
This Bond Is Rare, And Often Fleeting,
For Every relationship Has It's Beatings,
Mentally, Emotionally Have I Been Hurt,
For In Giving My Heart, I Trusted In Her,
And Now She Retuned It To Me...In Pieces.
